The sand dunes around Biscarosse plage can be endless fun. We had a very memorable day on Biscarosse plage in the Aquitaine area whilst staying at La Reserve parc. The sun was shining and we were off to the beach with our picnic, we couldn’t really have asked for more. We based ourselves at the bottom of a sand dune and it wasn’t long before the kids experienced the thrill of running down the dune at great speed. It was so lovely to hear the squeals of excitement and see the delight on their faces. We (the parents) of course couldn’t resist it either and it wasn’t long at all before we’d joined in the fun!

I like to take some books like sticker books & adventure books. My favourite cuddly toys such as Pink Cat, Rosie Pink, Black Cat and Hoola Moola my cuddly dog. I love to take some games like board games but magnetic ones so they stick to the board and you don’t lose the bits in the car. My favourite thing to take in the car is my Nintendo DS. I take games to play on my DS. I’ve got 3 games called My Best Friends Cats & Dogs, Disney Princesses and Tamagotchi. I like to take some paper to draw on and some pens.

Hi - I used to work out in the Charente, at Les Charmettes. I'd just like to recommend a bar called something like the 'Golfe' which is at the port of La Palmyre and the restaurant opposite it which does great seafood. Head to the port early evening just as the sun is beginning to go down for a great sunset over the harbour and beach for a quick drink, then it's just a quick hop next door for some fresh prawns and oysters. Yum. (All child friendly, by the way).
