Le Havre is just 90 miles from Domaine de Litteau (a drive that takes around 1hr 40 mins) and around 230 miles to Domaine de Dugny in Onzain, a journey of around 3hrs 30mins.

With a crossing time of less than four hours, the Portsmouth to Le Havre route is more than two hours shorter than the Portsmouth route to Caen (six hours), and Le Havre is more easterly than Cherbourg, which has its own fast craft route.

The new service runs for four days a week, from Thursday to Sunday.

UNESCO-listed Le Havre is an intriguing destination in its own right. Attractions include a two kilometre beach right in the town centre, a host of museums (including the biggest collection of impressionist art outside Paris), several shopping centres and a wide range of good restaurants.
