Choose France for your May half-term break

At Siblu, we love France no matter the month – but even we must admit that there is something particularly magical about May! There’s a feel-good vibe that floods the whole country, as short sleeves and sandals are pulled out from the back of wardrobes and the heat of the sun reminds us all that the long wait for summer is almost over. Many of the country’s favourite events fill up the late-spring calendar – from the smooth tones of Jazz under the Apple Trees in Normandy to the high-octane roar of F1 engines racing around the streets of Monaco on the Côte d’Azur.

From the most northern tip to the southern edge of the country, there is something for everyone in France in May. And, with a choice of 19 holiday villages spread out across 10 incredible regions, we think you should come and experience Magical May for yourself this half-term in France with Siblu.

Close to home

… yet far from routine

Why organise a pre-season escape to the sun on the other side of the world when, a short flight away, our four South of France holiday villages await? It’s the perfect way to make the most of the destination without wasting time on the journey. On the French Riviera, a region that enjoys average temperatures of 21° in May, our village in Fréjus – Le Montourey – is just 40 miles from Nice Côte d’Azur airport.

Further west along the Mediterranean coast in the Languedoc, Le Lac des Rêves is nestled among vineyards in the Camargue, yet only 15 minutes from Montpellier Airport, while La Carabasse has direct access to the beach yet is situated just 10 minutes away from Béziers Airport. Les Sables du Midi is a veritable aqua wonderland within easy reach of both Montpellier and Béziers Airport! ‘The other French Riviera,’ as it is often referred to, this western stretch of Mediterranean coast is blessed with a similarly sunny climate.

There’s nothing half about a holiday in France in May

… except for the crowds

If you’ve ever visited Paris in August you’ll understand why the locals make a habit of leaving the city for the month! Yet it’s not just the City of Love that is lost to tourists during the height of summer – the majority of France’s best attractions are. When you visit during calmer months, such as May, you’ll be able to discover what makes France the world’s favourite holiday destination – free from distraction.

Marvel at the Châteaux of the Loire Valley, stroll the streets of Saint-Tropez, cycle the Canal du Midi, lose yourself in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles – or just relax on a long stretch of sandy beach – all at your own pace and with one of our holiday villages as your base.

Destinations to truly relax

… with a wealth of activities at your doorstep

We know your time is precious, so we take the hassle out of holidays so you can concentrate on what’s most important: spending time with your family. Our mobile homes provide the comforts of home yet our holiday villages offer all the fun amenities you’d expect on vacation, including kids’ clubs, swimming pools and loads of outdoor activities.
